so driving down the freeway my check engine light came on. weird. got home and checked the power dist. box under the hood and the relay closest to the engine and firewall in the corner. R1 i think? The black cover on the relay way off and the relay was half out. I cant get the thing back in all the way and I didnt wanna break it further. What is it gonna cost? thanks in advance

first how does getting a check engine light make you check the engine fuse box, I'm very

now first thing is first, get the code checked and post the code.

next please try to provide a photo of the relay as I am not exactly sure whats going on with it from your discription. did the relay split open or did it start to come unplugged?

I checked the fuse because I had trouble with a blown fuse for my O2 sensors after I installed a set of MIL's. Ill post the codes as soon as possible, the closest AutoZone is 20 minutes away and its New Years Eve. The relay wasn't split open the black cover protecting all the electronics inside is gone and the relay itself started to come unplugged. thanks

well I would pull the relay out and replace it, and get those codes.

its the R1 relay for the fuel pump. is there some secret to getting it out? Now the car wont start at all. Its not getting fuel. I know its the relay but I cant get the old one out, I dont have a car to go get a new one, its new years eve, i hate life.
