Water Pump Gasket

I searched and couldn't find anything on the topic so I figured I would start the conversation. I'm going to be doing some cooling system work tomorrow and had a question about water pump gaskets. I bought a BAT pump off nasty1 (thanks again) and it came with a metal gasket. Looking at autozone's site, they have a composite material gasket. What would you all recommend I use?

Also what do you guys think about the "water pump gasket maker" stuff as an extra sealant?

As long as it seals it should be ok. If the seal is good I would not use extra sealant. Also that risks extra getting into the system and possibly plugging something up. I would just get the closest thing to OEM as possible.
