Was it hard for you to sell a SVT-C?

I actually sold my 99 MTX Cougar to buy a SVT Contour (CEG Member) and it was hard to do even though the CSVT I bought was heavily modded and well cared for, my Cougar was sexy as hell, ran perfect, moderately modded, and super clean inside and out. It turned heads everywhere I went! Ultimately sold it after having it randomly vandalized numerous times and when it got broken into that was the final straw. It was just as well, a 2 door coupe, slammed, with body kit was not going to cut it with Minnesota roads and winters.

"Naturally" the buyer of my Cougar was the mother of a 17yr old kid who totaled it in a head on collision doing 60 miles an hour with 2 friends in the back. Lucky for him no one was seriously hurt. He did not own it for even a month before totaling it (sigh).

Fornetti14 is right. The right buyer will go out of their way to buy your CSVT if you make it worth their effort. It was alot of tedious work for me that involved a 1500 mile flight and drive home with all the added expenses that come along with that but for the right car, I'd do it all over again.

Which is PRECISELY why I was so picky in selling my contour.

I had a lot of interest, but some of the people that were interested in my old tour were ******** drivers there were looking for their 3rd car because they had wrecked the 2 others driving like idiots. I didnt want my first car, and my now favorite car I had ever owned going to some ******** kid that was going to blow the motor/trannie, or run the thing into a wall. I wanted it to be well taken care of because it was a great car to me, even if I had to put some time and money into repairs.

In the end I ended up selling the contour to a nice middle aged man that wanted it for commuting back and forth to work. Its still on the road today, my dad says he sees it all of the time. Pushing 150K on the clock
