I pulled my intake manifolds on saturday, I was surprised how smooth everything went. I haven't broke anything yet!!!! 154k and it's the first time they have been off. My UIM will be going to Extrude Hone this week, and the LIM is soaking in simple green. I didn't go crazy cleaning the UIM since the Extrude Hone process should clear all the crap out, but the LIM is gunked up pretty good. Now I just need to remember how everything goes back together LOL!

I plan on optimizing my TB while it's off, and see what I can come up with for the LIM since the GB isn't getting off the ground.

Black98csvt (shawn) came over Sunday, we got the y-pipe dropped but it wouldn't stop raining long enough for us to get some headers installed........access to the how to's would be great the blank page helps a lot :blackeye:

The warm weather gave me the itch to start tearing things a part, now the challenge will be to have everything powder coated and installed by SZ. I hope to have the intakes back together and powder coated, tv optimized and powder coated, headers, true duals, mirko repaired/painted, all new brakes, SFC's welded in, and some strut braces if I can find them.....should keep me busy and broke for a couple months!

I know what you mean about weather. I want to put in my new injectors, change my coil plugs wires, put in a new stereo and speakers, seal up my headers, and paint some of my engine and intake parts, but the weather keeps going to crap. It was supposed to be 45 yesterday but this is what I got instead.

wow who knows when I will be able to get around to stuff like my quaife.

Yes I know thats a neon in the foreground, bought it for my sister, but my wife thinks its so cute that she took it for herself and is giving her zetec to my sister instead.

Just ordered my gaskets!

Since the valve covers are easy to get to now I might be sending them off for powder coat....my simple project is turning into a big project really fast LOL!
Maybe I should just go 3L now

Hey why not . Might as well.....whats really stopping you?

I jsut did a UIM/LIM rebuild myself....on my 171k se...and let me tell you the ports came out to 18mm:blackeye:. When i stuck a screw driver in it to remove gunk...i was pulling out about 3/4 of an inch at a time....maybe even a full inch. It was bad:nonono:

Now it runs great....and idles like a champ.

Nothings really stopping me I would kind of like to dyno once I get it back together just to see what the 2.5 is putting down. Next winter I might try the 3L, I want to get my hands on a big bore LIM to match my UIM but then I'm kinda limited to a hybrid ( I don't like the ported 3L idea). I'll be pushing it as it is for getting it back together for SZ, with waiting on extrude hone and powder coat

If you do EH the upper intake....and get a lower bore lim....then you will def be putting down good numbers. Just as good as a oval.
