I ordered the 2.5" pipes for my SVT and I am very unpleased! The site advertises that it includes all bolts, hangers, and clamps. I received non of that, only the pipes. And on top of that there are metal shards throughout all of the pipes. They could have cleaned them out. I have called and left messages and sent an email. Still no response, we shall see on Monday what happens.

Anyone else have issues with these people?

Yes on many occasions. But these are little things that could be corrected with a small trip to a local hardware store. The reason i'm not all up in arms with you..is because we all have known this for along time about tru-bendz. The pipes might even be un even etc etc.

I hope you get through and ask for assistance. Good luck with the install also man!

I received clamps with my kit, but no hangers. I didn't have problems with dirty pipes, though. I do have to have my exhaust adjusted after install, because the muffler doesn't have an offset inlet and outlet - they're both centered - and the muffler is touching the exhaust shield. One of my tailpipes touches the rear valance, too. That annoys me, but will be fixed soon.

yea sounds like me...but i only ordered their test pipe. took almost 3 weeks to get because they messed up my address...i won't be doing business with them anymore...i did get all the parts that it stated tho. it seems that they are never there to answer their phones. finally someone called me back however.

I got everything with my catback from trubendz, all the hangers were there, all the bends were right, and the pipes were clean......

But, none of the hanger lined up:mad:

There was snow on the ground when I put my exhaust on. I was displeased.

I just received an email back and they will send everything to me. I was told that they do not weld on the hangers themselves, even though it is pictured that way. We shall see.

Truebendz, also known as "wrongbendz".

Seroiously joe? Your bashing the best bang for your buck setup.

Call them on a workday and explain the problem. i had one hanger welded on backwards explained the problem and they ate the shipping cost and I returned it for a new one. The second one was the same way so I cut it and turned it around and rewelded it in place.

Just stating the word on the street. Seen it with my own eyes as well on multiple cars.
I know nothing of the setups otherwise. Price seems fair on their web site. All you ever hear about this system is bad things.

I agree the prices are fair...but their build quality is horrible and def unreliable.

Kinda reminds me of weapon-r headers. But at least they got their crap together and made a great final product. Trubendz...well doesn't seem to care to fix the issues they already have. Face it this has been going on for over 4 years. this is nothing new

Dude, Weapon R headers freaking rock.

Trubendz seems too expensive for me still, you could go to most exhaust shops with the muffler of your choice and get a decent exhaust for less.

Best bang for your buck would be to make it yourself and get it right the first time.

On the contrary I have never heard anything bad about them for the zx2. We bought some pre bent ss piping to make an exhaust for my friends zx2 and had no problems and the price was awesome, only came with piping though.

I dunno I know of multiple people that bought them including myself that had no piping issues what so ever. I had one hanger that was off. Whatever

Maybe it varies by who is setting the kit up. Different day, different shift, different person, etc..

I think companies just devote less time to this platform, hence spec issues with compact cars but raving reviews from mustang guys. I think the same goes for this, smaller (and WAY cheaper) audience = less money made = less time and care put into production.

yeah... they have the same issues over and over again. I e-mailed them about the issues I had and they never even responded. Yeah they are cheap, and have a pretty good product, but it seems like they are just looking to push product out the door and save money.

I assume they are under the mind set that we are indeed car enthusiasts. And well these little exhaust problems can be easily fixed by car guys. So to them.... it just seems they assumed it's nothing big so they throw it out the door knowing we'll just fix it our selves. Which is obviously the case in many situations.

Either way...i've already corrected a few and welded on a few hangers. Not a big deal in my book or other peoples books. But to some that don't have the equipment...i can see where they stand....which i think should be seen and heard.

Like I said.... it annoyed me cause I was doing it in the cold and the snow. Generally a catback should be a quick 20-30 minute swap even using jackstands unless I am dealing with serious rust.

To have to go back and fix hangers, that was really annoying. I cant imagine what it would have been like if it was someone other than me that was in that same situation.

Honestly, the thing that bothered me the most at that time was that I did e-mail them when I was done explaining my issues with their system and the tweaking I had to do, just to bring it to their attention so that they could recheck their jig or their bending diagram, and they never responded. The fact that their problems have only worsened since I got my system from them really ticks me off however.

Oh well, I dont have any vehicles left that they build exhaust for anyways, aside from my contour which should hopefully sell soon, but it already has their system on it. So with no reason to buy from them in the future, it would seem rather half ass of me to say that I wont buy from them again if this is the consideration they show their customer base. I mean I appreciate anyone who supports unpopular platforms in the aftermarket, but a little effort on their behalf would be nice.

I'm with you on this one. I didn't recommend their exhaust for a while...untill i got warned for it. But what ever...you have to play nice or you won't be able to play at all.

I think any company that cares less about their customes is chitty and should be given notice! But this isn't the first time these type of threads have come about and it won't be the last. When i buy a product i EXPECT the thing to function as it's suppose too. Not have me buy extra parts just to get it to work!:help:

I'm with you on this. Which is why i custom built my exhaust and called it a day.
