Is it my birthday , or what?

Alright , so yesterday I ended up changing the O2 sensor(with a bosch) before the catalytic converter and replaced my air intake with the stock one. Next thing you know the light didn't come on(hope it stays that way) , acceleration and idling improved a lot and when I pluged in the OBD2 reader it said that everything was ready. I finnaly passed emissions today.

Now it's time to "break" in the engine.

well typically on a duratec a P0171 or P0172 can indicate that the O2 sensor is getting lazy and is on its way out. I would get a scanner like Tony suggested where you can watch the voltage value of the O2 sensor as the car is running to determine if its reading right.

If it is try cleaning the MAF and of course check for vacuum leaks.

You we're right. The response improved significantly after changing the O2 sensor. :crazy:
