Holy   OMG thats soo hott, but I wouldnt want to be near it on a summer day. I bet the shine off that car would blind you.

1, repost

2, nice car...but only a concept. And they're only making 330hp out of the twin turbo v6. should have boosted the v8.

3, didn't trapps have an S60R?

i really wish volvo would gather some testicular fortitude and come out with a car that can blow people's socks off. the s80 v8 is nice, but 300hp is weak. i'm even feeling like it's weak in the R! well, when it's cold out and the car actually makes 300hp lol!

Volvo could certainly add some performance to its powertrains. Still, there is no car I'd rather be in for logging serious miles. They are the bechmark for comfort.

Volvo could compete with Audi and BMW and Mercedes on a performance field. Notice I said compete with, not dominate. However, Volvo is making a nice healthy profit with the products it offers today. The company will continue to evolve ( yes a play on words), but at a rather relaxed rate so as not to upset the apple cart in terms of a very loyal consumer base. People don't buy Volvos because they are bahn-burners. The buy them based upon the reputation of safety. Followed by design. While safety is becomming more and more of a moot point as other OEM's offer equal ratings, the perception still exists. Much like Toyota and quality. The perception is still there, but in reality, Toyota's quality is slipping with evary point of market share they gain.

The bottom line? Volvo offers a great product at a reasonable price. While performance is not the priority, they offer enough to keep things interesting. Combined with great ergonomics and safety.

A fan.

Definitely comfortable. Maybe even a little too comfortable! The trip to SZ was painless for me.

I guess most people do buy volvo's for the reason's you mentioned. I bought the car because, atleast for me, it was the total package. You can see volvo was trying to get some more youthful customers with the C30...even the S40. Both are overpriced for what you get though, and young people want fast cars!

I think (and hope) that they're just taking it easy until some other company buys them, since they are for sale. My underwear moisten at the thought that BMW could pick them up!

The picture floating around the internet of the possible 2009 S60 is frightening though.
