I have a 97 with the 2.0 and auto. My problem is that the line that goes from the transmission to the radiator is leaking beyond control. It is a pre bent metal line from the radiator to under the battery and then it is a rubber hose to somewhere under the drivers side fender. Can this part be found anywhere?? Or can I make it all rubber hose to the radiator??

If leaking in a spot you can get to, cut out short section of metal line and patch in rubber hose there. Use higher pressure oil cooler hose or maybe high pressure fuel injection hose. DO NOT USE REGULAR fuel line, can very easily pop from the extra heat and pressure of trans oil. You can also patch in a longer length of rubber using same good quality hose, but need to support it so doesn't hang down to snag anything. I use TWO worm drive clamps on EACH END of hose, using one sometimes results in leaks or blown off hose from no barbs/ribs to hold it on the smooth sided tubing. Bulletproof.

It's leaking at the point where the metal changes to rubber. I pulled the line out and trying to figure out what to do to fix it. This has been my most reliable car ever and don't want something stupid like this to ruin it since I can't find the line anywhere

The ideal thing would be to flare it with a hose barb or hose swell so it will hold the hose better. If you don't have a tool that will do that, double clamping should be fine. I don't think an ordinary flair will do much other than make it hard to slide the hose over.

Thanks guys. I need to get this car back on the road...Its been sitting for 3 months

Did as mentioned above, used two clamps and smoothed down the metal line (rust covered) and its leaking there pretty good now. Guess back to square one

I guess that the hose is not conforming to the lumpy rusty surface. Either try cutting back to where the line is not rusty, or take the whole thing off and visit a hose shop and have them make one up for you. Those shops, such as "Hose Man" are all over, and mainly serve the industrial trade, making hoses for all sorts of industrial equipment.
