to those with Mazdas

so you think that one of the larger segments of the show... The Mercury Montego reunion.... should be cut?!

The fact is that Mazda is made by Ford. I believe some even say "Ford Powered" on it or in it somewhere. So why shouldnt Mazdas be allowed in the show?
Just my opinion
Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and the Ford powered oddballs like Panteras and Sunbeams only, obviously your opinion may vary

iight...

oh well... there will be at least one mazda. are you registering? if so... the SVT or stang?... at least im assuming the 91 LX in your sig is a stang?

Not sure if the SVT will be registered or if I can go 100%.
Its mainly been my dad's idea since I moved here to go (he has 2 real Shelbys---'67 GT500 and '66 GT350H) and if my work schedule allows it he and my brothers will be coming out and we'll make the drive.
Would definitely like to show the SVT and meet some of CEG. I think its cool you're going and can park :)

:drool:GT500

my friends dad has a GT350 with origional paint and like less than 50k on it. the thing is sexy! im going to try to convince him to bring it.

if you and youre dad enter then you get a slight discount(entered together of course) should be fun. Def try to make it thoght. the only reason im goign is to meet some CEG people and what not. and the only reason im entering it parking and about the same price as weekend pass and parking and what not.

post pics of youre stang... and those shelbys

Not that I feel I have to justify ;) , but I like the Mazda6 wagon BECAUSE it's like the sedan . It looks like it , it goes like it (plenty quick) , it handles like it , it feels like it when you're in it , yet it has a very capable wagon part in the rear . When we looked at cars to replace our FSVT , we drove a couple P5's (along with Mazda3's , Speed3's & others similar) , and while the P5 was a pretty fun little scooter , it's just a glorified hatch , not a "real" wagon - and we NEEDED a "real" wagon . Don't get me wrong , I like the P5 for what it is (I especially like Doug's in the yellow  ) , but they're not the car that the 6 is (and you know I'm right ;) ) .

BTW - I said the 6 wagons ARE one of the slickest-looking wagons , because they STILL ARE better-looking than most wagons out there , no matter if they're being produced or not .

No , I most likely will not be registering the 6 at Carlisle . I'll probably be making an appearance on saturday while I'm strolling around though .

yeah... im not saying the 6 wagon isnt a good car performance, handling, and feel of it. my mom has the 6 sedan and i have driven the 6 wagon and i didnt notice a difference between the two.

I like the P5 for what it is, but they're not the car that the 6 is (and you know I'm right ;) )

haha. i will admit.. thye are not the same. even the 4cyl 6 will stomp on the P5. but whatever.... im over the fast car thing. i need the gas milage since im commuting to school now.

the only thing i really dont like about the 6wagon is its looks. but im not into wagons. like you said.... the P5 is mroe of a hatch and i think thats why i like it. anywhos.... i guess ill see you there if you stop by the CEG tent.

I too think that the mazda6 wagon is pretty slick looking. Whenever I see one I always think it looks chop topped, which is sweet.

umm.... i gave up on that thread a long time ago...

i dont remember what was said excpet "OMG OMG THE GENESIS IS SO AWESOME!!!"

then i said "No its not"

then a huge dicussion i never bothered to read

so i have no clue

oh... and that one guy jumped in... and i refuse to talk to the dbag. page 2 or 3. which is when i left the thread

I just bought an 08 mazda speed3 in red, perhaps i'll think about bringing that. It shows much better than the contour.

HaHa. Yeah, it's fun. It is hard to go back to driving my contour after driving the mazda. There is such a difference just in the clutch.

LOL! I will have to swing by sometime soon Scott. I probably owe you that anyway. I am including pictures here.
