And that is easy to fix. Climb under the car on flat ground right behind the rear wheel. Look at the arch in the fender liner and notice how much the arch is improved when you gently push the fender in a little bit. With very little effert you can gain over a half inch.
So with a little inginuity and a handful of plastic ties, you can suck the fender in a little and gain the clearance needed to keep the tires from rubbing. On the right side, I needed to pull down the shield above the gas filler pipe to find a hole in the frame to attach one side. The other side took a small hole drilled in the fender lip. I daisy chained three ties together, one on each end one large one to go between them. On the left side, nothing had to be moved.
Before doing this, I had ocassional rubbing, especially with rear passengers. I have not had any rubbing since pulling the fenders in slightly.
