Tie rod ends question

Will bad/worn tie rod ends produce vibration under acceleration and braking as well? I'm trying to figure out what my vibration is I have under acceleration and braking. I have new lower control arms/ball joints, tires have been recently balanced and are new, as well as a new alignment. The vibration is most apparent about 15-20 mph, but slowly reduces and vanishes after getting up to speed after 25 mph. I actually want to say it's more like a wobble/shake of the whole car up front, not the steering wheel. Braking vibration is pretty evident at high speeds, and less noticeable at lower. Would bad/worn tie rod ends do this?

If this is in the wrong section, please move accordingly. Thanks

To me that sounds more like warped front rotors more than anything else... I'm not sure if the tie-rod ends being bad would cause that or not. My car used to have the shake last year before I did the Koni Sport Kit... while I had everything apart I had all four rotors turned and the shake went away. I didn't have it when I was accelerating though from my recollection.

I never really looked at the rotors. I'll give it a look see for anything abnormal if I can. But yeah, the acceleration is what bothers me.

Yeah your rotors are def what is causing the vibration when you brake at high speeds but the low speed I am not sure. Does it go away when you let off the gas pedal? I had a friend who's car would vibrate under acceleration but not while say "coasting". It turned out to be a bad axle. I don't see this being your problem tho Mikey.

Yeah, the axles are new-ish, as well. I'll need to check on the coasting part. Maybe the axle nuts may not be properly secured all the way? But that should produce a vibration that would escalate it seems?

It's not the tie rods. Mine made a noise when I turned the wheel or hit a bump but no vibration or even slop in the steering. Replaced them and the noise was gone. Go figure.

Anyone wanna chime in on the worn tie rod ends? Now, this is under acceleration only. When I'm in neutral and coasting, or even accelerating downhill in neutral, it does not do it, only when power is applied. New axles, new LCAs, and the Ksports of course. All less than 15,000 miles on them.

What could that possibly be? My dad said something about that, as well. I thought maybe axles, maybe the fact that I'm so low and angle of the CV joints, maybe the axle nuts? Other than that, I don't know.

thinking about it i don't believe it would be the tie-rod ends. My 95 Mystique, I believe, had the original tie-rod ends. So that was 228k, I never noted a vibration which I believe was realted to them. The struts where replaced as well as the control arms up front, all else was original.

It sounds to me like you must have motor mount or roll restrictor issues. Tie rod ends would not cause a vibration like that, and neither would ball joints. I see you've replaced any of the other, not likely, but possible culprits. It could be something in your engine or transaxle as well, it's too hard to tell by the description and not being able to drive the car...

That would be my first guess, but you said those are newer. I suppose if they're poor quality, or weren't installed properly(torn boot, etc...), they could be bad already...
