The SVT was broken into again

The Focus locks itself after 30 seconds if the alarm is is standby mode. I set the keys on the driver seat when I was cleaning it then shut the doors to go buy some junk food. It locked itself with my keys still inside. I just called a towtruck and the driver was in the car in about 10 seconds, charged me $10. I couldn't bring myself to break my window out like that!

For future reference, all you need to do is pull on the insde handle just a little (with a coat hanger) and the car will automatically unlock the door with the electric locks. I've done it - saves on buying a new window!

wasn't working for me either. Besides, I can go pull a glass for about $30 and that's cheaper than a tow. Oh, and everything I had was locked in the car and I don't memorize any phone numbers so it was impossible for me to call anyone I know.

you know last night i noticed that i have a little metal thing with a yellow cap on it in the latch on the trunk. you could get to it from the inside. and id bet that would open the trunk. you would have to use your finger its so small

I once locked my keys in my old 95 mystique,they fell into the trunk as I was putting something in there,I worked all the doors for hours with no luck(coat hangers and jimmys)I guess I just suck at it,I called popa lock and was in my car in mins I forget the price though I kno it was cheap though and for not having your phone with #'s thats what 411 is for.

Well IMO **** breaking out the window if you would have called a locksmith right when it happend i'm sure they would have made it there easily withing 1.5 hours....:nonono: And it would have cost alot less then the window repair is now going to set you back.:shrug: On a good note though that was a good story, you should consider being a writer. :laugh:
