Finally got the Samurai home, it's bigger than I had expected. On the trailer the hood was even with the top of my truck. Who cares about that though . . .

It's an '87 with the following:

Sky SPOA lift (4.5")
Trailmaster 3" lift springs (3")
Calmini S/R
New Pro-Comp 33" m/t
Spidertrax rear disk brake kit
Panhard bar
Antiwrap bar
ARB air locker in rear
Lower gears in front and rear axles [4.57], and in t-case [4.16] (comes with stock f/r 3rd members)
HD axles
second transmission (stock)
HD transmission mounts
HD clutch
rebuilt 1.3L
cam'd
header
GSXR750 4 carb set up
dual batteries
on board air w/3 gallon tank
Shrockworks rock sliders (uninstalled)
Zukis Off Road front and rear bumpers
custom f/r driveshafts
Spidertrax rear axle truss
New soft top
Bikini top
Tonneau cover for rear (use with bikini)
Duster (vertical cover goes behind driver/passenger seats)
CB

Axles/transmission/t-case/engine all recently rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, etc. 102,000 miles total

It barely fits! I think I only have 3 or 4 inches of clearance (maybe less) between the top of the truck and the garage door. Don't mind the Bucks cover (came with it), I think I'm going to ditch the whole tire because its stock size.

I can just push it out, it only weighs 2000 lbs.

Bad pic, but its much larger than the Nissan. The Frontier did beautifully towing it home (4000lbs car and trailer). Got terrible mileage (kept O/D off), but felt strong starting and stopping.

With the top on:

No back seat (don't care as tools and my dog will be filling that space), but the interior is clean. The front seats have seen better days; they came with lame a$$ covers that I took off instantly. Gotta get some junk yard seats or new covers

My favorite part:

The compressor for the ARB locker fills this, and as you can see it also has a quick disconnect. The guy gave me a kit (hose & filler) that plugs in here and can reach all 4 tires. Air down on the trail, air back up before hitting the road.

Two engine bay shots (they kept it clean!). You can see the GSXR carb set up, header, dual batteries, compressor, etc.

No, not bring it to the meet. Pedal to the floor is about 65 MPH.

Pete- It's electric as you suspected. No A/C at all on this rig.

nice pick up! that looks like its going to be some fun. how much did it cost you?

$4000 even. These used to go for dirt a few years ago, but with their increasing popularity and their increasing rareness they are getting more money. From my months of looking, this was a great purchase for the money. Not to mention I could sell the extra transmission and 3rd's and pull in a few hundred. . . .

I remember off roading in a stock one back in H.S. and it was a blast. Didn't they do a recent build of one on Extreme 4X4?

I'd put her head through the headboard:drool:

/end hijack.

SICK NASTY SAMURAI!!! That puppy's gunna be a muddy slob! Imagine all the mud you can slop all over Silverados on the trail. Sick Sammi!
