They fattened up both in size and weight. You can feel the weight/width difference just driving down the street. I got a good deal on these but I doubt they will end up staying on the car. It's just too much for a NA vert.

BTW, the wheels are chrome Voxx Misanos. 17x8 front and 17x9 in the rear with 245-45-17 front and 275-40-17 rear.

Thats some serious rubber in the back for that car. Can you even break it loose anymore?

Haha on the rear? Those are 10" wide on the fronts...Is that really necessary? Did you actually have traction issues? Any under the hood shots?

Unless that was sarcasm, I swear he said 8" fronts. If it was sarcasm than my bad :troutslap:.

I think the wheels and car look nice! True the wheels may be a little much for an NA, but still, it looks bad*** :D.

It is an 8" rim, but the tire is 245 wide, technically thats 9-2/3" wide tire tread, but I rounded up to 10".

Ahh, gotcha.

Haha its cool man. My Caprice has 255 on the rear and 225 on the front. For as heavy as it was, it stayed on the road pretty well. Which was why I wondered what was under the hood for the much lighter and more agile RX7. :-)

Must agree, car does look good. Any rear shots to see those 275 wide monsters?

It was not a necessity to put that much rubber under the RX-7. It still has a slightly breathed upon NA rotary in it for now... I just wanted to see if it could be done and figured I might end up liking it. It ended up changing the driving characteristics too much for my liking so I have already swapped back to the stock BBS wheels.

Here is a shot of them from the rear. Don't mind the sagging exhaust.

and one down the line...

Cool man . Yea since it's NA, i'm guessing that if it was having traction issues, it probably wasn't "oh crap I need some monster 275 wide tires to tame this beast!!" I bet though that it handles better now. But if the OP got a good deal on them, and they look good (which they do), then it's all good :).

Edit: Wow those are pretty damn wide! Yeah, contradictory to what I just said, I guess it wasn't all good lmao.
