The easy way to getting an SVT on ramps...

I have some new ramps, same old style, different ramp to adapt to.

Bought some like these at Kragen Auto Parts.......Mine are solid.....Less than forty bucks on sale.....Great deal..............Light and sturdy......

bought my generic ramps at autozone for like $40, they work well, til i lower the car. But even though i have ramps i still finding myself jacking up the car, then putting the ramps in just because i have to slip my clutch so much to get up the ramps.

sometimes I add boards in front of ramps to get lower cars up on them but I dont think I never have a problem getting cars on ramps

manual or automatic, just drive right up with the door cracked so I can see the end of the ramp. After I get used to the ramp I dont bother cause I know how far I am gonna drive. Just drive the car right up and dont be scared, then you dont have to worry about your clutch, I've seen people drive off the edges and it aint the end of the world, just jack the car up and extract your ramp. lol

Lol might be that I just have to use ramps a lot lol. Last shop I was in I had a short lift, but I just used that for tires or suspension or things like that since it only lifted a few feet. Most of my business was things like tires and oil changes. Had an air over hydraulic jack or heavy duty ramps for semis, and a set of rhino ramps and my little hydraulic lift for cars and pickups. Fastest way to get the oil changes done since I didnt have a pit was just using the ramps.

My Mirko will hit the second board before my tires get on the first, so i'd need the mirko 4" off the ground and I'm not into that.

I was fine with my mirko on these ramps too until i lowered it, and like you said, i hit the 2nd step. But now I just take the extra 10 seconds to take the mirko off and its smooth climbin'.

also helps to either make marks in the garage/driveway, or find a pole or something that is the right distance apart for easy lining up and less worries when driving up, knowing that the pass. wheel isnt gunna fall off
