I am going to be emailing leatherique about their leather dyes. I would like to confirm that the steering wheel is in fact "dark prairie tan" and the seats are "light prairie tan".
First i am going to try and re-dye my steering wheel. and provided all goes well, fix some spots on the seats. that is if i don't need to do all of the seats to make it match.

i do believe that the leather is in good shape, just the dye has been worn away.

i will show before and after pics if and when i do this.
some shots of the steering wheel. I cleaned everything with leatherique ro and pc the other day.

Wow, your dash is perfect! Good luck with the dye, let us know how it works out.

If the leather is in good shape but worn, it will take to the prep/new dye much better. My driver's seat, which was the most worn and sees the most wear, has held up the best compared to the pass. seat and rear bench.

Re-worded because it made no sense.

I have been under the impression that it is a 3 tone tan interior.
All "prairie tan"
-Dash and steering wheel. = Dark tan
-Carpet. = Medium tan
-Seats and doors. = Light tan

I just need to make sure that i get the correct color dye. leatherique has all 3 listed as fords colors. there is not way i can send a swatch of my steering wheel. I would prefer not to cut swatches out from anything even if you can't see it.

correct me if i am wrong but i thought tan SVT's have a 3 tone interior. the dash and steering wheel is dark prairie tan then the carpet is medium tan then the seats and doors are light tan.

my head hurts

I guess I've only noticed the terrible difference between dash and doors/seats on light interior post 98's.

Can anyone confirm this?

well, we know that the dash is the darkest part. well crap i guess i will have to cut out a swatch from under that dash. I will email leatherique and ask them if they know the colors of our interior first.

Let me know where you take that swatch from. I have to do the same thing for my greystone interior and I haven't looked into where there will be an excess 1"x1" piece to remove.

Yeah i have not looked into it but i will stick my head under the dash and look around.

This was the only place that i found that you could cut a piece out of. I don't think you can get a 1"x1" piece though. At least not without it showing slightly. Which i refuse to let happen. So i will be emailing leatherique and ask them if they can find out the color of the dash or could send me some color samples for the Prairie tan shades.
In between the dash and the steering column. right where that part is beginning to pull away.

why not just go to the junkyard and cut a piece from a good, non-faded dash. you could even cut pieces from a couple different cars so that you could compare them to your dash to make sure they match.
