Probably will need at least a good hone job again. I can't imagine that it didn't get a little surface rust or oxidation from sitting so long.

i would hope that he stored it properly to prevent that, otherwise i am sure he will hone it.

Any goal numbers for ths engine?

I'm intersted in some of the details on this engine:drool:

no expected numbers. I am not going to build to be a monster, just a driver.
but i do have to decide whether or not to go with the current aluminum intake i have on the El Camino or to slap the dual quad tunnel ram i have in the garage on it.

The business end of it all - a 383 (built 4-bolt main 350 , 400 crank) , worked 202 heads , 4 speed , 4:11 gears/12 bolt posi - it did 13's in the 1/4 with loads & loads of wheelspin ...

(it was a 325-horse 327 orig. , BTW)

I owned the ElCamino from the late 80's till the early 90's . I bought my Triumph TR-6 shortly after I sold it . I can still hear that big cam pounding away when I close my eyes & think about it :drool: ...

I almost forgot to mention the "No Fat Chicks" license plate frame on the back plate (you can see it in the one pic) . Still got it ...
