Sweek from front Passenger side

Hi all,

Got a strange noise coming from passenger side front.

I just replaced the bearing on that side 3 weeks ago.

Now when you turn right, it sounds like a metal/metal squeak. Can also hear it when you hit a bump on that side.

I've tried to recreate by bouncing suspension myself but I did not hear anything.

I have not had a chance to get under to check much out but I did a quick look in the work parking lot and everything removed to replace the bearing is where it should be.

Any ideas?

OK Squeak...

OK Squeak...

Describe "properly".

Its the second one I've done. This one was pressed the same way.

It really isnt a squeak I guess...its almost a resonance or vibration sound but with a higher pitch. Maybe creak is a getter descriptor.

I just took another look but this time I turned tire all the way to left and right to check for rubbing or binding. Saw none but did notice that that tire is really worn on the inside of the tread...so much so I can see the belt in spots!

Seems need an alignment asap! Would a failed tire create a sound?

It would make anything from a loud buzzing, to the sound of the tires when you run off the road and on to the rumble strips. It could also make a light "buzzing" (higher pitched) if only a portion of the outer plane of the tire (in the bad spot) is making contact with the ground on each revolution.

In short? Yes..

Change or fix what you KNOW is wrong. never try to fix an unknown problem while it is being potentially masked by a KNOWN problem.
