SVTC is going under the knife tonight.

The colors I have in mind i havent seen on a countour svt yet. Im wanting to be different. I thought white but have seen there are a few already. Its gonna be a surprise.
 
ok, so the obvious ones that you wont do are red, black, green, silver, and yellow t,hen white has been done, orange was done, then whatever color bagged's car is (grey?), i know i've also seen a blue one. So what does that leave.... PINK? PURPLE? No wait, Puple has been done on blu fuz's car... so i guess that just leaves pink!
 
Well I made my final decision on the color. Still not gonna tell, but ill throw out the 2 colors i eliminated.
The first eliminated is Metalic gold or even like the gold you see on the 2002ish honda civics. Then rembered one of the ppg cars is gold. Heres a link.

The second was THIS copper color used on the Ford edge. But i just kept going back to the color that im painting it and i just think this color will give the car the most justice.

Now im not saying that there are no contours out there that are this color but i just havent seen it yet, im sure it has been done and even if so theres going to be another soon. PS the color has been mentioned in this thread. Its just a variation of the color.
 
Probably would be burnt orange but my buddy has a 05 burnt orange srt4 and i dont want to try to copy that. And the final color is on the other spectrum of color. Ill say it is a color that has been talked about on here a few times but still has never made it to a full car.
 
No on the comp orange. And digital slacker feel free to stop in anytime. Just let me know. The plan is to get it done by may 15th at the absolute latest. I set that date so i can make that hershey show but looks like thats not hapening but i still need to make a deadline or i will drag my feet.
 
Work on the tour was slow this weekend. Did a little sanding to the bondo on the hood, and took out the door panels and worked on taking off exterior door handles still figuring out the rears. Tonigh i plan to put in atleast 4 hours into it. Finish masking, maybe hit the inner fenders with some color and mask off the engine compartment.
 
Sorry for the lack of updates. Heres a few pics of how she sits right now. Hopefully finish body work and do final sand before primer this weekend. Then work on the bumpers and sideskirts.

Havent updated at all for a while so here you go. The body work is 90% done just have half the roof, very little bit of work on the front bumper and about half way done shaving in the jack point covers. Ordered my paint and primer last night. This weekend have to go get the supplies to upgrade my garage electric so i can hook up a new compressor that i got. Once thats all hooked up the spraying will comence, realisticly next weekend. Very excited to get back to driving the tour.
