anybody know how to fix this problem , went to the mechanic the other day and find a little problem when the mechcanic install the heads eh noted a problem in the 3l block i will post pic have a hole in the block and the head don thave nothing there

as can see there is a rubber and sylycon inthe gasket right now the new gasket is a hole and in the head don't cover the block in his full, what i can do to fix that???

i think people use JB Weld or something to fix that,, i think there is also a oil port that has to be blockign inside the timing cover too,,,,man i am glad i went with the full oval port instead of the hybrid route,, cause i was seriously considering it for a while.

the mechanic tell me something about soldering to the head aluminum .

what abouth the hole in the timing cover where is that? to tell the mechanic to do it

I thought that you already had your 3L built and done?

i never before done the heads job in the 3.0.

was the past mechanic who do the job and made that ting he put a tire part with silicon and use the old gasket now i left with other mechanic and he tell me all the bad stuffs the past mechanic do to the 3.0 block

WHAT??????

ok, a hybrid requires that WELD shut the old oil return line- the 2.5 heads (unrevised) don't have that oil return tapped in them, thus you must shut them on the block.

WTF are you talking about, filling it with silicone and tire mess?

woah...

Just cut two little squares of sheet metal and then use a bit of silicone to stick them on.

don't listen to all the hype. It is just a simple matter of plugging off those two holes.

yes that work done by a bad mechanic i left with other more professional and he tell me abouth of soldering some little extyension to the head (aluminium) i will take pics of thew heads and will post when get it the heads
