svt focus vs. svt contour

As far as public perception IMO, I think the SVTF is seen as a Focus that you find out is a sweet SVT, where as the SVTC, is a sweet looking car that you find out is a Contour. Personally, I would like the feeling of the latter. Although I think a ZX5 SVTF is definitely an awesome car.

I would imagine the trans would feel very good because I heard its the same transmission used in the mini cooper, and I can't see BMW having a bad feeling trans, I've owned bmws and their manual transmissions felt very good to me.

unfortunately it does have its issues. I think that there was an issue with the shifter cables, and the diff isnt extremely strong.

but its a lot more fun to shift, especially in the cold, the MTX-75 when cold feels like shifting through peanut butter, but the Getrag in the Focus feels almost exactly the same cold as it did when its warmed up, keep in mind I test drove the Focus SVT during January and it was about 20 degrees outside.

So it was a nice warm day. There is a SVTF at a dealer near me that I drive by everyday. They are asking like $8K for it and it looks kind of beat on from the inside. I will take it for a test drive when it is actually cold out (-20F and colder)and tell you how it shifts.
