Superchip knocked out of PCM, car now won't start, looking for ideas...

cool.. now either ditch the supercheap and get a tune on the factory PCM or DON'T KNOCK IT OUT AGAIN!!

lol

glad you got it running, again!

Ditch the chip, over the counter chips suck and they can only due a general tune and they still get the car running way to rich. The only way to get a real tune is to have the car on a dyno to tune that car right there to get it right, no 2 cars are the same. think about it down the road the car would probally make more power and the air/fuel would be more spot on and they would have more control over the timing.

I was in complete agreement until this point.

There are other options for near perfect tuning.. a dyno is not the only option.

btw, andys isn't a over the counter chip. he has a friend who is a sct tuner. its tuned on the street,he also did my car a couple of years ago

Yup, that I do... ;)

Too rich eh? I had 3 tunes on the chip (4-program flip chip), one for an AFR of 12.5:1, one for 12.75:1 and one for 13:1. I wanted 3 because you never know what kind of fuel quality you'll get around here. I try to stick to a couple that I know don't use ethanol, but sometimes you're SOL and have to use whatever is around.

I plan to have my buddy throw a new tune on all 4 banks of the chip to see if the chip is ok and then just sell it. I want an xcal3 but at this point just needed the car running so that's not too high of a priority...
