Subwoofers questions

im running a elemental design 10" shallow mount. if i wasn't under powering them and had the box sealed perfectly it would sound pretty well. think im gonna add another for alittle more bump. after of course i get an amp that can power them properly

MY recommendation:

JL Audio sub (mine was a 12W5/ custom built 4th order BP enclosure)

MB Quart component system.

Like an idiot, I DIDN'T take the advice from Ernie (at Sound Innovations) to FIRST replace my existing Pioneers with the MB Quarts (Yeah, right, I'm gonna spend $350 on a pair of car speakers!)

Well, after spending near $3000 the Pioneers just didn't cut it. So I bought the MB Quarts and well, had I done that first I probably never would have bought most the expensive gear. They sounded pretty damn good without the sub!

so my question is will two underpowered subs be just as loud as two subs with 200 RMS ?


any help you guys can give me will be awesome.

If you run that amp stereo it wont put out that 200......

in bridged mode it will put out the 400.

2 x 100W @ 2 ohms
1 x 400W @ 4 ohms bridged
THD: 0.02% (4 ohms)
