Im looking for changing my sub, im not so much into high spl but i want a good comprise quality/power.

Im generaly not a fan of clarion product but clarion are running a reward program for selling their product and i have enough points to get a SSW1201 (4+4, 1000rms) for free.

im planning on a sealed box and throwing around 700-800RMS into it

So any review or commentary ? somebody ever heard one.

here a link of the spec

I googled, no luck even there. Found out it is not in the US lineup, but is elsewhere. Looks promising though. What are you running for door speakers. I have stock ones 2 rattle, must upgrade.

im currently running 4 kappa's 6x8 on a eclipse EA4000, and a CD5000 for H.U

i have also a 4ch phoenix gold Radial serie that i used to power a excelon sub, but the sub is dead now so the PG will probably have to go if i get the clarion... still dunno what i will get to power it...

i have huge discount on amp for, clarion, mtx, rockford fosgate and infinity
but im quite open

My Kappas have a really crisp high, not a lot of low end oomph. I personally love the way they sound, especially when playing jazz and early 70s rock w/o a lot of bass. I would definitely recommend running a sub of some sort with the Kappas for better low-end balance.

yea same here, without sub the kappa are a bit boring for the low-end

but they do have a really good midbass kick !

for the high they come with a crossover and you can change from 0db to +3db the tweeter just by twisting the tweeter
