Stupid Question, but worth a shot

I just went to autozone to pick up some new wipers (got the duralast winter blades), and it turns out that the clips that come with the new wipers don't fit our wiper arms. Also, the old clips don't fit in the new blades, so I need to take these back. Have any of you bought new wipers for your 95 Contour? If so, what brand did you get? :shrug:

Never heard of that.

Are you positive you're not installing it wrong? Different brands have different clip designs, but should give the same end result.
 
i bought some michelin wipers. According to consumer reports they ranked in the top 3 best wipers and were the cheapest ($7 each). mine clipped right on with no adapters. they work great!
 
recently I have purchased the valeo wipers from tirerack. use to use the anco wipers and got them at wal-mart. Use to just change the blade before also.
 
You're not doing something right. The standard clip that comes on wipers slides/clips right into these arms.
 
I have never had a problem replacing wipers, and I've done it countless times. The clip that came on the duralast winter blades don't fit our cars (at least a 95). On the other hand, the old clip that came off the car doesn't fit the new wiper. Autozone doesn't sell the ANCO winter blades anymore (I used to buy those); that's why I bought the duralast ones.

are you sure the duralast ones didnt come with an extra clip floating around the bottom of the package? the rain-x ones we sell at work come with a couple different clips for different cars
