Your call. A good way to tell is look at how much airspace is between the strut top mounting plate and the shock tower, under the hood. I took mine apart, regreased the bearing and reassembled while shimming the airspace out with big metal washers under the top plate. You gotta look close at the mount rubber to determine if it is about to crack apart. Mine was thumping hard when hitting freeway expansion joints, now it rides fine. Main thing is to remove that looseness that allows the spring to throw the whole assembly down into a hole thus making a harder bump impact. Mounts cost roughly $50 each, my fix $5.
