Spring cleaning in November :)

Im thinking the new skin fits a little lose because the seat foam has been broken down a little bit :shrug:

I think it looks great, did you have new hog rings and use the appropriate pliers?

I also have some skins just incase.

I reused the old rings.. OMG what a pita!!! but I used pliers and made them tight again. The inside of the seat was in good condition. I just think it fits a little weird because I used the passenger side skin.

looks pretty darn nice!

Not sure if its the picture quality or not, but you might want to run some leather cleaner over the new skins (then some conditioner to keep them tip top).

Also, I've found Prestone makes a great automotive carpet cleaner.
It comes in a can with a brush built onto the nozzle. It scrubs really well.

Little Green Clean Machine with built in heater FTW!!!!

Interesting, I've been thinking of doing the same thing! Passenger side to Driver side swap...along with heated seat install of course...

I recently replaced the cushion in the seat of my girlfriend's Sentra. I dont have hog ring pliers, and no hog rings were handy (I cut the old ones), so I used zip ties after reading about using them for upholstery on Bimmerforums. Worked like a charm, and they've held up fine for the last few months.

Dude, there HAS to be something you can do to keep those things. They make the car what it is, at least in my eyes. The job hunt continues. Maybe an auto detailer?:laugh:

Well see Tyler, but its not looking too good at this point.
As far as job hunting goes. There is a warehouse manager position that I am looking into. Shipping and receiving is my kinda thing!

for floor mats what I do is mix a couple of different household cleaners together, then spray Wool-ite ALL over the floor met, let it settle into the floor mat for about 5 minutes, while its sitting I fill the bathtub with a little bit of water, mix the house hold cleaners into the bath tub, and throw the floor mat in there for about half hour to soak.

come back and scrub it a little bit every 5-10 minutes with a brush. When you pull the floor mat out of the water and let it drain, some of the nastiest water I have ever seen comes out those things, but the floor mat always comes out looking as good as new.

Carpeting in a car... I usually just use a whole can of wool-ite. and scrub the :censored::censored::censored::censored: out of it. If I have a steam/water cleaner around I use one of those as well. I miss cleaning my car :(

:censored::censored::censored::censored: that! Needs more http://www.sheldondrycleaners.com/Services.html. Like $10 a pair.
