Spotted: Silver SVT with typical CEG mods in West Hartford

Oh, I follow -- I thought you meant you were turned away completely some time ago. You were legal, but the bartender double checked. I get it now.
LauraSVT -- I think I know which bar you're talking about, but I'm also drawing a blank about the name 
Is it a blues bar with the entrance somewhat set back and 'hidden' ??
CSVT1214 -- In general I do like WH, but some parts of it [like where I live] have the disadvantages of Hartford -- multiple hit and runs to the SVT
--with the higher rent of a WH zipcode. If you move here, make sure you are not too close to the border. Otherwise you might as well move a few blocks over for less $$ and the same BS
I guess I'm bashing WH more than intended. WH center is nice, I like the general vibe there [and as mentioned -- many places to pick up rich 'cougars' ]. Hell, I think I would even be happy moving to the other side of WH [Farmington border area] with less traffic/crowds and still have easy access to WH center.

The entire affair was pretty unimposing, but the door was not obscured. It opened right out onto the sidewalk. No blues -- a few townie types, friendly folks. Plenty of cigarette smoke, since it was '03.

It sounds like either the Cracker Barrel Pub (maybe has a different name now). It is on Main Street in Tariffville (a section of Simsbury) parallel to Rt 189.
Or it could be Hoops -n- Hops on Hopmeadow Street (Rt 10 - main street of Simsbury). Best sports bar ever!

Thought i would chime in, I also live in West Hartford, actually in the elmwood area, not the best area. We mainly moved here for Schools. We bought our house 3 years ago and love it here. Wife works in Town and i work in Farmington at Health Center so the commute is the huge bonus of living here, better then hartford and new britain. Although property taxes are about to skyrocket and i heard some other stuff about some MDC monthy payments around the corner. But the schools make it nice to live here and hopefully the resale value of our house when we sell. When we sell we will be going to the suburbs, farmington,avon,simsbury area. I dont like having neighbors so close..
