i searched and im not sure still, i got plugs from a 2.5 with maybe 20 minutes on them, they are double platinum of some brand i cant remember got them in a box of 2.5 parts, but i would like to know would they fit in my portmatched 05 sable that started with cop but now has wires and coil pack

Check the threads on the plug. Based on autolite plugs, the original plugs for the 2.5 were APP764, they were replaced with APP104. Basically the difference was in the threads, the first style had less threads than the revised style. If your plug has threads that cover half of the part that screws into the head, then do not use them. If you have a fully threaded plug it should be the revised style and would be ok for a 3L.
