I have ScanXL with the Ford pack. Would be willing to give it a shot, however, the last time I tried to do that, my laptop went on the fritz ( sorry ).

Okay funny enough my parents' explorer's service engine light came on this weekend as well LOL. They're in toronto so if there's someone around in toronto who's got a code scanner that'd be great :laugh:

Bring your cars to me and I shall give you all the CEL codes.

Bring your car to parts source, they scan your codes and clear them for free. I brought mine there a few weeks ago, they read my code in the parking lot. If you havent yet gotten help else where.

A scanner is $50 or less at canadian tire, go get one.

It's always going to come in handy with these cars.

no, just about anything that has a obd II plug. it's nice to have one that comes with preloadable software so that when you get the code, the scanner can automatically pull the CEL description based on the vehicle/year; bu the more you need the more you'd pay.
