Ive seen few sets of taurus cams that had the "orange" stripe on them as well. I just say go by the part #. :shrug:

The problem is that the color fades or gets darker (oil dependant) over time. The part number is the only sure way to tell what cams your have. Many folks have thought the were getting SVT cams based on the color stripes. The part number is the only TRUE identifier!!!
The mock up 2.5L engine I have has Orange cams but hey are oval port 3L cams and not SVT cams. The part number tells the story.
