Some pics of my new motor

When you get that thing in be careful with your hood. I've had some clearance issues w/ the oil cap & those valve covers, not really issues but its touching i think, doesn't seem to bother anything but I wouldn't slam a hood on it. Those valve covers are dead secksy!

Thanks for the heads up OB! How much does it seem to hit?

I wish I had that valve cover on my silver car, the turbo piping is right against the oil cap, and I bought a crome cover from upr and I can barely get it on there

Pick up a 2004 valve cover. It doesnt have any PCV stuff in it, it would function just like your pre-04 ones would.

Alex less posting on CEG and more getting the motor in the car, not only do I want to have my lights installed in a few weeks but also lay a whoopin on your 3L:laugh:.

I'm not one of those really picky guys plus treys car & my car have solid mounts so there wouldn't be that much push on the hood. It is touching w/ the hood closed definately. I'd imagine if your engine raised much it be pushing harder against the hood. my brother has a stock hood I wasn'i to concerned about it hurting the hood more the cap. trey has a Cf hood so i was really careful & did some throttle blips to see if I could see the hood move.

The oil cap is at the top of theses covers vs lower on the older ones, not to mention its right over the cam gears, (somewhat of a bulge). I don't think its gonna hurt anything i just want everyone that uses them to check the clearance before slamming the hood.
Don't mean to alarm anyone!
