Well I got my car back today from the mechanic. I had my compressor replaced, But after I drove it today my car started misfiring and my CEL came on. Anyone have a clue to what they could have messed with when replacing the compressor !. I am taking the car down to autozone today so they can tell me what the code is but I am worried becuz I just put on brand new taylors and I also got my plugs changed not to long ago !:shrug:
 
Have you checked that all your spark plug wires are still connected? Also, the compressor is near the camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensor.... it's possible they knocked a connector off one of them. Either way, the CEL code should point to the probable cause.
 
Yeah I came home and checked the code it was a misfire on cylinder 1 they knocked my wire loose. I was also looking and they forgot to ground that wire that goes by the motor mount on the leftside of the motor. I cant understand why these ****ers never put anything back im sick of this crap. I had to take my car back 4 times to get my compressor fixed i had three compressors put it due to them all giving out hours after leaving the shop !!!! I Mean two times is bad BUT 4 TIMES he was gonna charge for the labor this last time i took it in to fix what he didint do right 3 times before but I was like you have no nerve man its your fault and after like 30 min. of arguing he finally made me not pay him !!!
 
Yeah.. there are way too many mechanics & shops that don't know what their doing. The only person I trust to touch my car, for stuff I don't feel comfortable doing, is one of my step-bros. He's opening a shop around you... which hopefully will be open in a month. It's already been about 9 months since he submitted his paperwork to the city.... it supposedly takes 10-12 months to open one.
 
I can't remember it. I know it'll be off Deer Valley... somewhere around 50-19 ave. I think I've convinced him to have a private grand opening.... more of a g2g there.
