Some help on tire purchase!

Im going to order the Enkei OR52 RIms. The guy said that I need a 215/40/18. Wouldnt 225/40/18 will also fit? IF im going to go with the 225. I wonder if a 235 would fit on a stock 2000 SVT? Here is a great site. Just put in your factory tire/rim size and then the size that you want to get. It will tell you the difference in them and let you know how far off the speedo will be.

It won't tell you if they will rub or not though. Someone will have to chime in for that answer.

A 215/40/18 should not rub on stock suspension on a normal day. A 225/40/18 just has a higher chance to rub than the 215.

I have 215/40/18 on now and they look too slim on the rim. I'm going to bump it to 225 when it comes time to replace the tires.

Don't forget to do some research on wheel offset as the wrong offset will cause rubbing even with the narrower tire.

Those are the exact same rims I got. I currently have 225/40/18 Kumho 711 on it and they do not rub under normal driving. I havn't done any serious cornering with it yet thou. I checked the space between the tire & strut and there was close to 3/4 inch between them. I thought about going with 235's but figured I would check with 225 first.

Check this site out http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp. its the one i used when i went from the stock 14s to 17s. Im still using to figure out the right tire for my 19s. But i think the best tire for 18s thats if there 18 X 7.5 is a 225/35 or a 225/40 anything bigger like 235/40 will throw off your speedo reading.

Different tires and size, but I've got a few thousand miles on my 215/50/16 Kumho ECSTA ASX's and I'm really impressed with them so far.

My other Contour has 215/50/16 BF GoodRich Traction T/A's and for summer driving I prefer the Kumho's.

225/40 with correct offset will be perfect. You might have to hammer your bumper mounting tabs out so they don't slice the tire. I think this is the result you are looking for in your wheel well:
