and needed to be newark or north.

whats a good area that is fairly suburban (and not overcrowded), but not far from NYC?

jersey city and the area around has been revitalized recently. and you have the path that will get one into the city.

When is this someone planning on moving to NJ?

A meet would be in order to welcome said new person to the NE. :)

Jersey City isnt too bad if you stay by Downtown, it is literally 20 minutes train and 5 minutes driving into the city.

If your looking for fairly suburban JC is not the way to go. Stay away FROM NEWARK, especially w your car(Highest auto theft rate in the US).

By the George Washington Bridge there are nice areas....

Teaneck, parts of Hackensack, FORT LEE, Paramus, Palisades Park, Leonia.... These areas and surrounding areas are nice........ If your looking for good schools as well for your kids(if any) Let me know I will let you know....
