Snow!!!!

Its the same reason you Northerners come to the South and complain that it is more muggy, humid and hot than you've ever felt.

Ask Dyoel182.. He just came to the north part of Texas and said it was muggier and more humid than he thought it could be when he got here.

Just climates is all. in 101º summers we're just getting going and ready to go relax in the sun.. Northerners are baking, sweaty, breathing heavy and running their A/C sitting in front of the vents.

No harm, no foul on either end.

Watched some southern state on the weather channel get snow last night. Ppl didn't know what to do. They appeared to be driving at the damn speed limit and flying off the road and rolling over.

Really? Generally they freak out and just like stop because they don't know what to do, even though its melting the second in touches the ground or turns to slush.

I'm telling you, the southerners are in awe whenever it snows. Lol, you should see them cover up in 40 degrees...scarf, hat, gloves, winter boots, the works. Quite the funny site.

I'm sure snow would be bad enough, but they can't seem to drive in wet conditions, either. I still believe the name of the game when it comes to over flooded roads is who can produce the biggest splash. :blackeye: Now, I'm sure this doesn't apply to all Southerners, but it sure is damn prevalent in Lubbock.

That's kind of how we like to laugh at people from the north who think they would die at 85 degrees let alone 110.

dude... When I posted that I was looking at pictures sent from my parents of SNOW in THEIR YARD (Austin).... :help: and the salesman for our company is in Pampa and was driving through Garland when he was telling us about the snow coming down there, all before I posted that.

Just because the little weatherman didn't say it would happen doesn't mean it didn't. You shouldn't trust them so implicitly. :troutslap:
:D :D

All I know is that there wasn't anything going on out my window at the time, and there was nothing about it on the news. You know what it's like, you get a dusting of snow here, and it's on the news for a f'n week about the "sever winter weather." Are you saying your guy was in Pampa, or Garland? They're 350 miles apart.

It's called acclimation, over time you body adjusts itself to the temperature, humidity, altitude it is subjected to.
I understand that and the reasoning for bundling up (however hilarious it might be). I got hung up on the boots though - people in the south aren't exactly tredging through snow, salt and mud to walk from their car to work.

That was exactly it!

I know what you mean.. sometimes its raining in the front yard and not in the backyard.

He is OUT of Pampa but was driving in Garland at the time.. I have a few pictures of his place in Pampa.. nice coverage.

My brother just got an 03 WRX just like yours - silver wagon - and that thing is a beast in the snow. And when it's dry. Definitely got more balls than the SVT

When I first went to Florida I was about 8 and it was December, and the weather was so bad up here our plane had to sit near the terminal for 2 hours to have it de-iced before we took off. Got to Florida and it was like 60-65 degrees outside, my brother and I ran around in shorts and a T-shirt, and got a lot of strange looks from the locals, who all had their winter jackets on. I thought it was hilarious too. But then you gotta figure when we went back home, our car was covered in about 2 feet of snow.
