Not a problem with the Mystique, but with the Taurus. I post over in TCAA but I don't seem to be getting any help over there with anything so I'm putting it in here.

Question is why does it take so long for the windows to defrost on the car? Heater is cranked, full on everything and it takes an awful long time. Not sure if its just how it goes or if there is something that could be causing this. I was sort of thinking the air cabin filter could be clogged up and changing might help, but thats a complete guess.

Any ideas?

Loggerbomb. Waterloo, ON. Last time I checked, it was pretty cold up there. The best way is not to turn on the fan for the first 5 to 10 minutes of driving to let the coolant warm up. Other things which come to mind are thermostat stuck on open and heater core blocked.

Yeah I figured it might be some kind of blockage, but hey curious to know if something else might be up.

Even with the warmer temps we had up here a couple weeks ago, it still took forever to warm up!

Will be flushing the coolant and such when it warms back up. Not even going to try it when it's so damned cold!
