Anyone know what the problem is when you shift into third gear and you get a slight grind going into gear but fine once in gear?

That's what I was thinking but hoping something easier could be solution. Thanks
I had a slight grind in my third years ago. Gear oil drained and fresh in. Ran for about 400 miles or so then drained and changed the oil again and issue is gone. Maybe i was just lucky, or just some contaminants.

Does it only grind at high rev? or all the time..

It doesnt grind if rpms are real low...but driving speeds for 3rd gear it does a quick grind

Possibly syncro in 3rd is gone. Time to double clutch till you want to yank the trans.
BTW the MTX-75 does not use gear oil.
