This was an issue brought up when we first migrated to Vbulletin.

Without this in place, those who view the forums in "list" mode instead of "threaded" mode have no reference, no flow, no conversation tree. Posts appear at random in the order they were MADE, and not in reference to the post they were made ABOUT.

ppl still use list mode on forums? :shrug:. i honestly didn't even think that was an option anymore. threaded > list

FWIW, in your profile options there is a place to get a pop-up window when you recieve a new PM.




Also, Mark, I've never had an issue with being logged out every ten minutes. . .

yes I do have that turned on but alot of us like that notification that the old forums had, thats all ...

i have never used list mode, i dont like it.
so i never realized that clicking on that little icon actually linked your reply to the reply you were replying to.
thats another thing i don't like that got lost...it used to note who you were replying to.

that's why i quote people, always. even if it is the last post in the thread. it makes sure everyone knows who i am talking to and no confusion occurs.
