Shouldn't I be getting better mileage?

Thats my bone stock CSVT as it came from the previous owner with about 180 miles of highway. The tank now has non-ethanol gas with 6oz of MMO in it and the tires will be getting the pressures bumped up a little like I'm used to.

Yeah then your about right on. When i drive highway i get over 300. I put maybe 75 miles on the e-way.

my pre98 doing mostly city driving would achieve 23-24 regularly the entire time I owned it, best I ever saw was 32 MPG mostly highway.

my 99 was usually around 25-26, the highest I ever saw with that car was 36 MPG on a strictly highway roadtrip, 500 miles to a tank.

I've noticed a decrease in mileage, as low as 21 this winter on my 96 SE with 112,000. I just installed two new OEM upper o2 sensors. I am still on my first tank of gas with them but I already see (according to the gauge) better mpgs.

Funny today at work a few guys were discussing the link below, its been around for years but I don't remember reading any thing about it.

It seems perfect for a Myth Busters segment.

15 gallon tank

15 gallon tank

I thought the contours had a 12 gallon tank, at least when I am sucking fumes I can never put more than 11.9 gallons in

Well, you thought wrong. :troutslap: You've been around here long enough to 1) not trust the gas gauge and 2) the tank is ~14.5 gallons, give or take a half gallon. A quick read of your owner's manual would verify that it's more than 12 gallons. You've also been around here long enough to know where to download a manual if you don't already have one. I know you were just trolling for a :troutslap: so here's another one. :troutslap:

Like he said, thats not because the tank is that small its because there is still 3 gallons of gas in the tank when you think you're on empty.
