As I have learned here the hard way, use the search feature or you will get killed on here!:shrug:

It fits perfectly, bolts right up. Buy the SHO motor and get to it.

THEN GO SEARCH! :censored::censored::censored::censored:.

Well, the 3.4L SHO V8 is a Duratec. In the simplest terms, our 2.5 is a 3.4 with two cylinders lopped off, much in the same way that the Ford 3.8 was a shortened version of the 5.0 / 302 Windsor.

That said, you'd be hard pressed to find adequate clearance with either the SHO V6 or V8. Besides that, all the sixes were EEC-IV, which would introduce some interesting challenges. Furthermore, the cams in the V8 were prone to disastrous separation at the camshaft and the cam sprocket, causing huge amounts of timing slop and piston collision due to the interference engine design. The heads were Yamaha on those, so don't blame Ford.

There was a guy that shoehorned a SHO V6 into a Topaz -- the infamous SHOpaz, but that's a crazy undertaking. Cool, but crazy.

Yeah...I mean its cool and all and mad props to the dude for swapping that engine into that tiny car...but its still a Topaz. Yes, its a Topaz that is faster than my car...but its a Topaz. To each their own I guess.

Topaz's and Tempos rock.

If you're Elmer Fudd... :laugh:

Seriously tho, a SHO V6 motor is 480 pounds fully dressed and wet. Why would you want to yank an all ALuminum Duratec for one of these? I do know these motors, I have a track-prepped supercharged '89 SHO.

Be vewwy quiet...wascally wabbit...

Personally, I think it's a scavenger hunt.

No love for the Falcon-derived HSC 2.3? Sheesh.
