I just realized that i forgot to put the shifter linkage onto the tranny after putting the motor in and i think i connected everything properly but there's a big problem. Basically it shifts properly when i'm moving back and forth but there's no barrier between 1-3-5 or 2-4-R. So basically i'd shift into 1st and i can move the shifter all the way to 5...

the shifter links have to be slide into those brackets on the back of the trans (the one that was all bent). that holds it still so the cable can move.
edit make sure u guys get the clutch line into the bracket too or it will have too much flux. I ment to take off the bracket that night to fix it.

the shifter links are already in the bracket (at least partially not completely). The higher shifter link (shorter at the same time) doesn't seem to be moving at all
