ok well im a little stumped I just picked up a engine cover "AZ calls it a splash cover?" but I don't have the screws to install it, don't know what size they are and autozone can't figure it out either, any help would be appreciated.

Where does this go? Top of engine where the '2.5 Duratec' cover goes?

Under the car, the big, long splash shield?

yah the engine cover piece that says 2.5 duratec, autozone has it listed as the splash gaurd for some reason but they can't say what size screws it requires, and I don't wanna buy a bunch of different screw sizes to see which one works, so I was hoping somebody on here would know.

The heads, from memory, are 8mm. However, I don't know the size and pitch of the threads.

well I can get just some plain phillips screws but like I said I don't know the size of the threads, please someone has to know!?

get some from a junk yard .... from some one that parted a duretec equiped car ...

btw the bolt head is 7mm

bwah I guess its off to the junk yard in a couple days, unless someone can figure it out before then, thanks for the help so far guys.

The term of art the truckers use is "seat cover", and the correct screw size is as long as you can keep it up and as long as she'll let ya call her "engine cover".....

Sorry, one of those days......
