i have used mine to haul stuff...so not "just" for looks!
to keep on topic and offer insight to the post instead of just posting an opinion like some people do...there are multiple different companies you could go with...i have a yakima but thule is basically the same thing. they are the two bigger manufacturers of racks. i did a little searching for you and what you need (as far as yakima goes) are some bars, you will need to measure your roof to determine the width of bars you will need, the Q towers, and the correct Q clips to fit your paticular application. for contours you will need the yakima Q clip 40.

If you don't mind messing up the purty skirt in the back, stick on a hitch and get a bike rack to slide into it. I have one on my turd and love it over a roof rack. The trunk still opens with it in place, it carries the bikes mostly out of the fuel mileage sucking wind and comes off quickly when I am done. It also eliminates the likelihood that you will forget the bikes are on the top and drive into the bike removing carport or garage.
A slight mod and I can carry my snowboard when the conditions are good and my skis when the conditions are not so good.
