Enjoys the Abuse
So Roger and I got down to business earlier and took care of Lindsey's brakes (Roger did most of the work, I'm a n00b at brakes  ). We had been previously baffled by a clunking/ticking sound coming from the brakes. As it turns out, as soon as we managed to get the drum off (with much struggling), the pin holding the front part of the shoe had broken off  . The "clunking" sound we were hearing was the back of the lug stud on the hub getting caught on the bar that joins the two halves of the shoe! It didn't get caught too badly if the hub was spinning "forward," but I am still dumbfounded how the whole entire assembly didn't rip apart while the car had been driven in reverse. The hub couldn't even be turned by hand "backwards" because the stud got COMPLETELY caught on the bar  . But regardless, the brakes work excellent, now. I can end this pointless thread.
Thanks Rog
