rocker panel replace for aftermarket bodykit

I have a 98 SVT Contour.My rocker panels are rusting out so i need to replace them before i put a new bodykit on.Can i use rocker panels from a regular 98+ Contour or do they have to be SVT.The only reason i ask is the SVT have inserts for the sideskirts and if i get an aftermarket kit them will not insert into them.Thanks

they are all the same. People put SVT side skirts on non svt contours don't they? You will just have to keep the mounting tabs for the new rocker panels.

the mounting tabs for the side skirts are the same for the SVT and non-SVT.

its the same car so the rocker panels themselves are the same ....
