reverse lights

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have the same issue. I have put a jumper wire on my reverse switch on the trans and they still won't work. Also, my license plate lights do not work. Put brand new bulbs in because the old ones were blown, but that didn't help either. The fuse is good. Any ideas?
 
Do they have power to them if you use a tester (light or meter/). Don't forget to check the ground side of the circuit too. Might have a ground wire from the trunk lid to the body that is loose or broken.
 
I have the same issue with my 96 tour also, but mine is an auto. would like to know where this is also.. sorry for the hijack bud..:confused:
 
well it's kinda the same here in Hawaii. We have these annoying safety checks that we have to do for our cars. And recently my reverse went out also. Want to fix it before the end of the month when my registration expires. go figure.
 
South Dakota does not have any laws on reverse lights lol (so I have blue bulbs) I do how ever have blue license plate lights too...(state law says they have to be white ) :-(
