Driving up to meet with striker2 to get some parts for the svt to install when I pick it up tomorrow I had an "incident" to say the least. Here are some pics of the $2500+ worth of damage done to the truck. I didn't really see it enought to know if it was a piece of tire but from what I saw I think it was. the damage however is a little extensive for it to be so who knows. I was following an Expedition and then it flew up from underneath. I'm just glad i didnt get it in the face:blackeye: Here are some cell pics of the damage. Bumper, grille, ac canister/condenser and hood has a hole in the sheetmetal:crazy:

DAAAAAAAAAMN dude that sucks, but hey dont you have that chevy grille you can swap it out with? even if not that should be covered under comprehensive and just pay whatever the deductable is and your set. Easier said than done I know.

well thing is i only have part of the chevy grille lol. I'm working with the bodyshop guy to see if I cant get a nice Goodmark cowl hood and some nice stuff to replace this all with:cool: My comprehensive is going to cover it and i have a 0 deductable on comp so I am good to go. Even better is that I have an 08 v6 Fusion to drive!:crazy:
 
damn sorry to hear that trey, an old friend of mine had a lowered integra that had the whole front bumper took off by a piece of retread.

its all good the body shop its at is a family friend and we are working a deal on some not so stock replacement parts including but not limited to a cowl hood and xtreme colorado colormatched grille and color matched front bumper:cool:
 
good to see your getting some nice parts out of this. im still amazed that it put it hole in the hood. and your lucky it hit the bumper/grill and not the windshield.
 
My friend had a similar thing happen a couple weeks ago. He drives a lowered ZX2 escort witha body kit. He was doing 85 on the highway and the whole tire on the truck in front of him sheared of and fell in the road in front of him. He hit it, ripped the whole front bumper off, they both proceeded to go under the whole car, and rip off half the rear bumper. Now he has to get two new bumpers, and have them painted to match his car.

just got thru digging up parts and found a nice colorado xtreme colormatched grille a steel cowl hood and colormathced front bumper for half the price estimate. so i might come out to the good afterall!

i cant pic whore this car in its current condition bro you of all people should know that. power went out at work today so we got sent home early. im going to give her a wash and i might be brave enough to give her a clay treatment but we will see.
 
here are a few quick cell shots of the truck. Its back better than ever and now looking like its chevy counter part. I got the color matched grille and front bumper put on along with a 2 inch cowl hood:cool:

All looks good except for the last pic. Appears to have a touch of ghey. :D You know you need rims now. Then it will just snowball.
