Replace main tensioner belt

My main serpentine belt fell off (its in good shape) and it appears the tensioner is shot (256K miles, so not surprising). I found an old stock Motorcraft part and I have one problem. I have the proper torx bit, but I find that there is not enough clearance to get the bit and a socket wrench into the space. Is there such thing as a low profile wrench, or can I lever the engine over to get enough clearance ?

I haven't had the pleasure. I did have to buy the long handled tool to change the belt, but not the tensioner.

Try putting the torx bit in a 1/4" box end wrench (preferably ratcheting). If that doesn't work, you may be able to drill an access hole thru the frame to create a path for the torx bit from the wheel well.

Home Depot sells, these wrench sets, maybe they well do the trick.
