Where do I buy a rear roll restrictor for my 1995 Contour GL V-6, I have checked anchor but they do not look right, and input would be appricated. I have tried the search with just a few posts with part number to anchor?

This is the mount I need to replace I tried auto zone, murrys, and advanced auto parts, also looked at anchor's website but I could not find anything that resembled an insert for this mount. Doese anyone have any clue? Any input/help would be appricated. BTW it's 86.00 for the part @ teamfordparts.com I was hoping to find a good used one or aftermarket money is pretty tight, just looking to get by. Its a 1995 contour V-6 with a 5 speed.
Thank you.

What is a Pitenpole Roll Resistor??? Is this a oem part for a 95 or did someone put this one on here it has the ford logo molded in the rubber.

Pole120, a CEGer has a company called Pitenpole Racing (???). He does the polyurethane inserts for the roll resistors. I don't think he stamps the Ford logo on. Maybe yours is a different brand.

Is your an Automatic or Manual transmission?

I have no clue:confused: . Do you or anyone else know if I can just buy a insert for this or where I can find a used one. Pole?? wants big$$$ for his, its probally great but I'm not racing this thing, it's a daily driver.

I believe the early 1995 roll restrictors were different in design. I recall it being mentioned on here before.

I don't see why any other year mount wouldn't work though.

HOW DID YOU REMOVE IT?

HOW DID YOU REMOVE IT?

How in the heck did you get to the rear roll restrictor to remove it? I have stared at it for a while and it seems impossible to get to.

Please advise,

Mike

the original 95 rear roll restrictor design is very different from the current design. the original looked like solid rubber but it was actually fuild filled iirc. those all fail by ripping open. The new design is the rubber with holes in it.

to remove unbolt the threw bolt and then remove the three bolts that hold the roll restrictor to the subframe - for a mtx

for the atx read this

Before you spend a bunch of money, try this...

i had the same problem and found this article:

http://forums.trinituner.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=68303

i tried it today.it is drying now and i will pop it into the oven tomorrow.
this particular method uses "Window Weld" a 3m product available at Autozone and AdvanceAuto for about 15.00....

there is also another type of polyurethane that comes in a 2-part mix that is available online for about 27.00.

also, check out this thread:

http://importnut.net/motormount.htm

hope that helps...

yah, 95' roll restrictors are totally different as far as the "rubber" goes. An svt or any 2.5L roll restrictor will work. I have a Pole Roll restrictor in my '95 and holy crap does that feel awesome! I hope you are not afraid of a little vibration.... If you just want to go stock go stock, if you want something people will enjoy as much as you will go POLE ROLL! yeehaaaa

p.s. my restrictor looked worse than yours....
